Happening Now: Protesters Blocking Security Checkpoints for Inauguration Attendees

And this is the world we now live in.

Anti-Trump protesters, who vowed weeks ago to be as disruptive to the inauguration process as possible, have chained themselves to fences around the checkpoints near the National Mall, in Washington, D.C.

Those chaining themselves are part of a larger group calling themselves DisruptJ20.

Protesters blocked more than 10 security check points around and used each spot as an opportunity to spread awareness on certain issues, like climate change, Standing Rock, feminism and racial justice, according to the group.

Protesters moved in last night, clashing with police at several events around the city, including the “DeploraBALL,” an event hosted by prominent Trump supporters.
