It’s Not The Boy Scouts Who Deny Reality

The tyranny of thought that infects the Left is so suffocating that it’s totally predictable what would happen should a Cub Scout den remove a little girl pretending to be a boy from their club. Outrage! Petitions! Cries of “transphobic parents!”

If a kid’s group my 7 1/2 year-old son was in decided that one boy’s preoccupation with running in front of moving trains was peachy, would I be called “trainphobic” if I called for that boy’s removal? What if they were imaginary trains? Would I be called “delusionphobic?” Sadly, the answer is, I would, if the Bible, or penises, were involved.

It’s not the Boy Scouts who are denying reality here. It’s the parents of an 8-year-old girl who allowed her, and probably encouraged her, to make this fantasy that she’s a boy the center of her life. To me, that’s child abuse, just as if those parents encouraged a little boy to invent imaginary magical trains and then run in front of real ones.

Here’s the story.

“Joe” Maldonado is a girl who joined the Cub Scouts as a boy in Seacaucus, New Jersey, The Record reported. They called “him” a transgender boy, because biology doesn’t matter in one-sided stories where the tyranny of thought dictates truth instead of DNA.

Kristie Maldonado said she was stunned because her son had been a member of Cub Scout Pack 87 in Secaucus for about a month and his transgender status had not been a secret. But some parents complained, an official from the Northern New Jersey Council of Boy Scouts told her — even though her son had been living as a boy for more than a year and was accepted as a boy at school, she said.

There’s no room for dissent, or for parents to protect young minds from issues they feel might be more complex than 8-year-olds can handle. I wouldn’t want my first grader in a Cub Scout den where he has to ask “daddy, why is there a girl here who says she’s a boy?” My answer would be Biblically based, and likely cause my son to say things that would get us all in trouble with the Thought Police.

If parents who encourage their kids to “explore gender identity” disagree with reality, we are to celebrate their departure from facts and agree with them. If we choose reality, we are hit with petitions and withering editorials criticizing us for bigotry. (But if we voted for Trump, we should freeze to death or be banned from restaurants.)

The sad thing here is that a little girl has no idea she’s at the center of a cultural strategy to normalize reality denial. She’s too young to really get that (but when she grows up, she will see how she’s been used). This is being called a “landmark case” by LGBTQ Nation.

Effie Delimarkos, the communications director for the Boy Scouts of America, told the Record in a statement the Boy Scouts consider membership for transgender children to be a separate issue from that of gay children.

“No youth may be removed from any of our programs on the basis of his or her sexual orientation,” and “Gender identity isn’t related to sexual orientation.”

Now that the Boy Scouts of America caved to pressure on allowing gay scouts and troop leaders, there’s almost no way they won’t cave to transgender scouts and troop leaders. The Girl Scouts already have. They returned a $100,000 donation rather than promise the money wouldn’t be used to support transgender girls.

If there are to be girls in the Boy Scouts and boys in the Girl Scouts, why bother having two organizations at all? Why not just have the Scouts and let in everyone? That way when teenage “people with uteruses” want to have a support group, they can join the Abortion Scouts, or same-sex attracted people can join the LGBTQ Scouts. Why limit anyone? Why vet anyone’s background or credentials? Why not have the Pedophile Scouts?

This isn’t just an extreme example. There are people who think there’s nothing wrong or deviant for grown men to like little boys or little girls (or horses), and why shouldn’t those people be allowed to join the Scouts? Parents who object are just “pedophile-phobic.” Being gay used to be a crime, after all. Everything is okay in the name of progress, right?

Yes, that’s where it’s going. The tyranny of thought does not allow any fences to remain. If “Joe” is a boy because she thinks she’s a boy, then by God, we must celebrate her bravery and reinforce her, and all the other 8-year-old boys must deny reality along with her.

Do you doubt this is about tyranny? Just watch the reaction to this post. Obviously I am thinking wrong and must be silenced by the Thought Police.
