Proverbs 26:11

The final debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is like political vomit. The smell makes you retch.

This scripture came to mind.

As a dog returns to his own vomit,
So a fool repeats his folly.

Donald Trump spent the first 25 minutes enjoying the dose of Xanax or Ativan he took before taking the stage. Then it began to wear off. By the end, he was exploding into conspiracy theory.

Trump refused to repudiate his claim that the election is rigged, telling Americans he is holding us “in suspense.” Could he possibly have said anything more stupid? The effect on down ballot races could not be worse with the nominee essentially telling his base to sit it out.

In the end, nothing has changed. This debate was a waste of breath. A waste of air time. The worst use of 90 minutes in the history of television. And that includes the “it was all a dream” episode of “Dallas.”

Republicans have been made into fools for elevating this man as the nominee.

The faster this election is over and we can wake up from this fever dream the better.
