The Moonbats

T

So, now I’m on a roll with Sheehan and am starting to regret my backtracking, but I do still admit that calling her a media whore changed the subject from her use of her dead son to go on an anti-war far left diatribe. Let’s review, shall we?

From Sheehan:

So anyway that filth-spewer and warmonger, George Bush was speaking after the tragedy of the marines in Ohio, he said a couple things that outraged me.

Seriously outraged me.

And I know I don’t look like I’m outraged, I’m always so calm and everything, that’s because if I started hitting something, I wouldn’t stop til it was dead. So I can’t even start, cause I know how dangerous that would be, but George Bush was talking, and he never mentioned the terrible incident of those marines, but he did say, that the families of the ones who have been killed can rest assured that their loved ones died for a noble cause.

And, he also said, he says this often, and this really drives me crazy, he said that we have to stay in Iraq and complete the mission, to honor the sacrifices of the ones who have fallen.

And I say, why should I want one more mother to go through what I’ve gone through, because my son is dead. You know what, the only way he can honor my son’s sacrifice is to bring the rest of the troops home. To make my son’s death count for peace and love, and not war and hatred like he stands for.

I don’t want him using my son’s death or my family’s sacrifice to continue the killing. I don’t want him to exploit the honor of my son and others to continue the killing. They sent these honorable people to die, and are so dishonorable themselves.

So, as many of you have heard, and I didn’t mean to cause any problems with the convention, but I was writing an email to everybody, and I was so mad, like I said, and I just had this brainstorm, I’m going to Dallas, I don’t know where Crawford is. I’ve been in Texas, Casey was stationed at Fort Hood. I drove from northern California to Fort Hood one time, it took like, 30 hours. And I thought, I could be driving for days to get from Dallas to Crawford!

But I don’t care, I’m goin’. And I’m gonna tell them, “You get that evil maniac out here, cuz a Gold Star Mother, somebody who’s blood is on his hands, has some questions for him.”

And I’m gonna say, “OK, listen here, George. #1, you quit, and I demand, every time you get out there and say you’re going to continue the killing in Iraq to honor the fallen heroes by continuing the mission; you say, except Casey Sheehan.'”

“And you say except for all the members of Goldstar Families for Peace’ cuz we think not one drop of blood should be spilled in our families’ names. You quit doing that. You don’t have my permission.”

And I’m gonna say, “And you tell me, what the noble cause is that my son died for.” And if he even starts to say freedom and democracy’ I’m gonna say, bullshit.

You tell me the truth. You tell me that my son died for oil. You tell me that my son died to make your friends rich. You tell me my son died to spread the cancer of Pax Americana, imperialism in the Middle East. You tell me that, you don’t tell me my son died for freedom and democracy.’

This woman may be in grief, but she’s also a moonbat.

War for oil. Warmonger. Gee, that sounds like the people who are commenting on the site. You people have come unhinged. You thought you had the perfect critic of the President — a woman whose son had been killed in Iraq — and I dared to call her what she is: an anti-American lefty willingly being used by the Michael Moores.

Oh, go cry me a river, people. This woman has every right to grieve. But she really doesn’t have the rigth to not be criticized when she starts spewing your lefty talking points.

Grow up.

  • What a moonbat!

The next thing you know she’ll start saying things like the war was really to secure military bases to protect our oil supply in the future or some imperialist nonsense like that.

Doesn’t she know that Bush has specifically renounced any intention of using Iraq as a base for future military operations (or I think he said something vague that sounded like that –but anyway we don’t specifics…we know we can trust him on this!)

I agree with you, Cindy’s grief posture doesn’t count for anything if she starts talking like a liberal…as our friend Karl put it to that commie Chris Matthews, “she’s fair game”

  • Fortunately for the American people, the GOP and its far right-wing fringe have Eric Erickson and people like him to speak on behalf of the GOP’s ideology. The sheer idiocy of their viewpoints is enough to turn the American people against the fascists. Thanks, Eric and Linda and the rest of you who are so supportive of our current dictator…your venomous attacks on patriotic Americans will be remembered. Eric, I suggest you find another line of work…you’ll need it soon.

  • “Cry me a river?” Give me a break, it seems like your the one crying because you opened this can of worms.

I’ll give you that you didn’t refer to Sheehan as a “whore” but rather as a “media whore” and I understand the difference. However, it seems to me that she sounds just like you only she’s on the other team.

You have far more in common with Sheehan that I think you’re willing to admit. I’d say it’s you who needs to “grow up.”

Oh, and I’m a former U.S. Marine who served in the first Gulf War and I can tell you that, contrary to your viewpoint, the majority of the soldiers who serve in the military are generally not excited about going to war and I can also tell you that due to the fact that we are directly impacted by idiotic policy like that of Chimpy we typically aren’t too fond of idiots like him running the show.

To call Sheehan “anti-American” because she has a dissenting point of view or that she thinks the President is a “filth-spewer and warmonger” is in itself anti-American. You don’t like dissent? Move to freaking China where you can’t and those that do go to jail.

    You are the anti-American.

  • Dear Liberal Agitator,

First of all, thank you for your service to our Country. Everyone has the right to dissent, but this is our war to win or lose, and dissent such as yours is not the answer. We have got to finish this war by allowing our soldiers to shoot and ask questions later or asking complete towns in Iraq to move to a secure location and then bomb the crap out of the insurgents that remain.

“You are either with us or against us” was said to nations about us going to war against terrorist and President Bush certainly did not think that he had to convince fellow Americans to be on America’s side. Do we give up now? Do we try to become an isolationist Country? This is your war, this is my war, this is America’s war, and we must fight to win this war even if it takes a hundred years because anything less is saying that we do not have the will to defend freedom.

  • Grow up?

I’d say the same to my child if he ever referred to someone he’s never met as a “whore.”
