A Fight for the Heart & Soul of the GOP & the Country

Deborah DeMoss Fonseca sent out this statement over the weekend for Conservatives Against Trump. It is worth considering.

This is not just a fight for the heart and soul of the Republican Party; It is a battle for the future of our country.

This week, Conservatives Against Trump launched a formal effort to identify an acceptable alternative candidate to run for president against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Many leaders are showing great courage in withholding their endorsements of Donald Trump.

Tens of millions of American voters are deeply dismayed by having to choose between the severely flawed and unfit candidates of both parties.

We believe the political environment remains wide open for a qualified conservative candidate to emerge.

Many grassroots Americans have deeply-rooted reservations about Donald Trump that are based on principle, policy, character and behavioral objections.
We are working to identify an alternative candidate, obtain the necessary ballot access through a state-by-state effort, and develop a comprehensive campaign plan to enable victory in November.

We will also continue to pursue aggressively other options to help conservative candidates at the state and local levels win.
We will not vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton; but we will vote.
