News out of Washington is that workers with the Pentagon and press were told that they would be working into the evening, prompting many to believe that a strike on Syria by U.S. forces was imminent.
NBC News is now reporting that 50 tomahawk missiles have been fired into Syria.

This is in retaliation for the chemical attack launched against a civilian population in Syria on Tuesday, resulting in at least 70 deaths, many of them children.
There have been signals from the Trump administration throughout the day that there would be a price to pay for the attack by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Even Russia, who have been seen as allies of the Assad regime have seemed to back away, after a sharp rebuke by the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, on Wednesday.
