The air outside of Trump’s inauguration ceremony has become a bit toxic, to say the least.
Protesters have chained themselves to various check points around the city. They’re breaking out windows in cars and businesses, vandalizing buildings with anarchist symbolism, and creating levels of chaos that are becoming difficult for police officers and by-standers, alike.
Case in point: a Washington Post reporter on site, Dalton Bennett, covering some of the protests became part of the news, when a D.C. police officer threw him to the ground and dragged him for some distance.
In the video, you can hear officers commanding Bennett to move back, several times before they grabbed his backpack and took him to the ground.
Protests are expected to rage around our nation’s capitol through the night.
