Chuck Schumer Sheds Actual Tears Over Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration

President Trump’s executive order on immigration from certain Middle Eastern nations has produced a range of emotions from people all over the political spectrum. But Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) takes the cake; as he weighed in on the order with a quote from Emma Lazarus’ poem “The New Colossus,” with a family of immigrants surrounding him, the Senator cried.

No, seriously. Schumer shed actual tears. Check it out for yourself:

Never one to miss an opportunity to shred someone with whom he disagrees, President Trump mocked him on Twitter.

Ok, I can understand the outrage, but tears? If the crying was genuine, he needs to lighten up just a bit. If it’s fake emotion to score some points, Schumer’s action smacks of desperation. (Here’s another theory: maybe his sinuses were bothering him…)

I’m inclined to think that Schumer would react the same way if another Republican president had proposed the same thing, but I also can’t help but believe that the senator would take the exact opposite tack had the executive order come from a president in his own party.

The Left can be so predictable, can’t they?
