Clinton Super PAC Abandons Colorado and Pennsylvania

Priorities USA is abandoning Colorado and Pennsylvania. They are taking down their ads and moving their resources.

No, it is not because they think they’ve lost both states, but rather that they know Trump is not going to win them.

Trump has claimed repeatedly that he was going to make a play for Pennsylvania. But every poll out of the state looks worse for him than the last poll.

After scheduling airtime in Colorado and Pennsylvania, the super-PAC has decided to go off the air in Colorado and Pennsylvania until at least the 20th of September, the person said. In addition, while Priorities had already suspended ads in Virginia, commercials that were originally set to resume in the state on Sept. 6 will now be pushed back until at least the 20th as well.

On Bloomberg TV’s “With All Due Respect” on Monday, chief strategist Guy Cecil nodded to the spending decision, saying money previously reserved for ads in traditional battlegrounds would be moving “to other states but also into other activities.”

Redirecting those resources means the Democrats are able to expand their map on offensive while the GOP is going to have to work just on defense to hold states. The ability of the GOP to expand its map beyond Romney’s electoral college wins in 2012 has disappeared. But now the GOP is seeing other states Romney won start to go into the Democrats’ column.
