Cruz Explains Why He Didn’t Go to SOTU

Ted Cruz was not in the chamber for President Obama’s final State of the Union address. “It was more of the same,” Cruz said to NBC’s Lester Holt.

It’s worth watching the entire interview.

Criticizing every single point Obama attempted, Cruz had great answers on leadership and ISIS. “I will apologize to nobody for my commitment to kill the terrorists.”

Rubio was prominently “present” for the speech, sitting stone-faced through most of the president’s utopian fever dream.

Iowa Rep. Steve King, who endorsed Cruz, was also absent, dedicating his empty seat to victims of abortion. “I got into town last night and I just decided, I can’t do this again,” he said.
