Despite every possible leg-up, Hillary Clinton was such a bad candidate that she lost anyway. Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders never doubted that the fix was in. Wikileaks emails fairly well proved the DNC was in Clinton’s pocket. If Democrat voters had had their way, the nomination race may well have been much closer than it was.
And now lawyers for the DNC, arguing in federal court, have made an admission against interest, that the DNC chair doesn’t have to be neutral. From the Observer (NB: owned by Trump son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner):
Shortly into the hearing, DNC attorneys claim Article V, Section 4 of the DNC Charter—stipulating that the DNC chair and their staff must ensure neutrality in the Democratic presidential primaries—is “a discretionary rule that it didn’t need to adopt to begin with.” Based on this assumption, DNC attorneys assert that the court cannot interpret, claim, or rule on anything associated with whether the DNC remains neutral in their presidential primaries.
Sanders supporters sued former disgraced DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for rigging the primaries against their man.
The attorneys representing the DNC have previously argued that Sanders supporters knew the primaries were rigged, therefore annulling any potential accountability the DNC may have. In the latest hearing, they doubled down on this argument: “The Court would have to find that people who fervently supported Bernie Sanders and who purportedly didn’t know that this favoritism was going on would have not given to Mr. Sanders, to Senator Sanders, if they had known that there was this purported favoritism.”
So basically, Democrats claim the right to anoint a candidate using smoke-filled back room back slaps. We have known it actually works this way for decades, but the DNC is now asserting that’s how it’s supposed to work.
This raises the perfectly reasonable question: what, then, is the point of having primaries and caucuses? If superdelegates are decided by the party bosses, and the party bosses are beholden to the DNC, and the DNC can pick who it dang well pleases, what voice do actual voters have?
None. And that’s exactly how Democrats like it: Fascist as hell. Now shut up and be a good little dog and go march for “science,” or “women,” or “climate,” or whatever stupid thing the liberal overlords come up with this week.
