Democrats Embrace Fake News to Attack Donald Trump’s Church Attendance

As one who questions the religious commitment of both Barack Obama and Donald Trump, I have not really kept up with either one posing in church. But the left is hanging their hat on this tweet by Matt McDermott:

The problem is that it is fake news.

As Andrew Kaczynski from CNN notes, Donald Trump went to church services in Palm Beach. The picture above is from yesterday when the President headed to Easter church services in Palm Beach.

That has not stopped over 31,000 liberals retweeting the tweet, spreading the fake news around.

As I noted after the election, the party out of power is the one that most often embraces fake news. For eight years under George W. Bush, the left dabbled in conspiracy theories, then the right did it under Obama. Now we are back to the left doing it under Trump.

I really couldn’t care less about the religiosity of a President I think is a largely a poser, just like the last one, but let’s not pretend the left isn’t willing to make stuff up to smear Trump while complaining about how awful the right was to Barack Obama.
