Hey Evangelicals! Heard the Latest Bible Knowledge From Trump?

I hope Dr. Robert Jeffress and Jerry Falwell, Jr. take note of this. They endorsed Donald Trump who went on O’Reilly tonight and yet again proved his lack of basic Christian knowledge.

The discussion was about Trump coming to the Fox debate. O’Reilly tried to persuade Trump to come.

O’Reilly then sought to appeal to Trump’s capacity to forgive, reminding the billionaire businessman that he’s a Christian, even if he doesn’t attend church all that often, and that the Bible says to “turn the other cheek.”

Trump shot back, saying he’s a regular church-goer, and that the Bible also says “an eye for an eye.”

How about we go to the actual text in the New Testament since Donald Trump says he is a Christian and not Jewish.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matthew 5:38-39)

In other words, yes Donald Trump, the Bible does say that. And Jesus specifically says not to engage in retaliation like that.
