I Must Stop Making Predictions

I never saw this coming and I clearly and terrible at predicting the future. This really is an amazing night. Even if Hillary Clinton can pull off a win, the reality is that I, so many others, and so much data were all wrong.

I have believed this entire year that Donald Trump could not win. The polls were wrong. The exit polls were wrong. The pundits were wrong. I was wrong.

From here on out, I cannot in good faith make predictions about candidates. I clearly suck at it.

I and so many others need to focus on the issues and advocate on issues, policy, and candidates without presuming something or someone can or cannot win.

There’s something exhilarating about flying blind into the future.

The one prediction I did get right, and just about the only one: The Democrats don’t have a coalition. Barack Obama does. And he’s not going to be around much longer.
