Call it sleazy. Call it unethical. Call it scandal. But don’t call it treason. Words mean things and treason, according to our constitution, “shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” Taking in some damaging information about Hillary Clinton did not provide “aid and comfort” to our enemies as much as the Democrats want to believe it.
It is nonsensical and the people screaming it should not be taken seriously.
In any event, the Democrats told us Russia was not a threat and they had reset the relationship with Russia. Notice that Russia only became the bad guy to the Democrats when they suspected the Russians did not like their precious Hillary.
On top of all that, there is still no evidence of a crime. There is evidence of poor judgment, sleaze, unethical behavior, etc., but no crime. Liberal lawyers are screaming about campaign finance violations, but I think that’s a stretch. Campaigns are in receipt of information about their opponents all the time and do not file in-kind disclosures.
The hysteria over this is off the charts. And most of the claims are wrong. You can hate what Trump, Jr. did, but hating something does not make it illegal.
