Jake Tapper criticizes Hillary Clinton’s ‘absolute personal responsibility’ comment

CNN’s Jake Tapper criticized Hillary Clinton on Tuesday after she placed the blame for her November loss on a “multitude of causes outside her control,” The Blaze reports.

“Hillary Clinton today taking full responsibility for the election loss, except for the part when she blamed Comey, Wikileaks, misogyny and the media,” Tapper joked on his show, The Lead.

Although Hillary said on Tuesday that she took “absolute personal responsibility” for the loss in an interview, she later placed the blame on others. “I was the candidate,” she said. “I was the person who was on the ballot.”

Clinton said that if the election had been held before FBI Director James Comey’s letter and the WikiLeaks hacking, she would have won.

“If the election had been on Oct. 27,” Clinton claimed, “I would be your president.”

Clinton also said that misogyny and unfair treatment from the media also contributed to her defeat.
