If protestantism in the United States had a pope, it’d be a toss up between Russell Moore and John Piper. Piper’s fame is only surpassed by his humility. The author of numerous books on faith, he has been scrupulous in making sure his ministry benefits from the sales over himself. When he retired from his church in Minnesota, he moved away so the new minister would not have to serve under his shadow.
There are few men more respected in evangelical circles and now Piper is calling on Trump to drop out.
Of course, Trump should step down as Olasky and Grudem say. So should Hillary. That is what "unqualified" means. It's never been a question.

Beth Moore, Russell Moore, and John Piper are vastly more influential among evangelicals than Jerry Falwell, Jr., Robert Jeffress, and Pat Robertson.
