Nikki Haley’s Endorsement Mattered Greatly

After New Hampshire, Marco Rubio was at 13% in the polls. He heads into a South Carolina Republican debate with a solid performance, then he picked up Nikki Haley’s endorsement.

45% of Republicans made up their mind in the last week and very many of them went with Rubio.

Rubio already had Gowdy in his corner. He already had Scott in his corner. He had them before the debate and before the last week. Then he got Nikki Haley and tonight closes out virtually tied for second place with Ted Cruz.

Most endorsements don’t matter.

Nikki Haley’s endorsement did matter. Trump partisans are attacking her as insignificant. But they are as deluded in their hatred of Haley as they are in thinking Trump is a conservative.
