Par for the Course

This is not surprising.

After a Bibb County sheriff’s deputy complained about Mayor Jack Ellis parking in one of the sheriff’s department’s spots at the Bibb County Courthouse, Ellis created a mayoral parking space.

Tuesday, the city installed a sign on Mulberry Street that reserves a primo spot for the mayor’s office. Macon City Code allows the mayor to regulate parking on all city-owned and leased property, but the action raised county leaders’ eyebrows.
