Planned Parenthood Offered Pizza Parties and Other Rewards to Boost Abortions

I don’t claim to speak for everybody in the pro-life camp, but I can’t help but think that I’m not alone when it comes to failing to understand the logic behind abortion. It’s tough for me to fathom the idea of putting an end to a human life (or what will become one, depending on your perspective).

Even more, I have a hard time understanding an organization like Planned Parenthood, which thrives on the baby killing trade. In a bombshell, it has recently come to light that Planned Parenthood actually offered rewards for boosting the number of abortions its locations performed.

Sue Thayer, a former Planned Parenthood manager, revealed that staff members were required to meet abortion goals, and if the quotas were not met, immediate corrective actions would be implemented. Thayer reveals that Planned Parenthood offered workers pizza parties, paid time off, and even lunches with upper management if they met their abortion sales goals.

“Every center had a goal for how many abortions were done, so we were very goal-oriented,” Thayer said. “I trained my staff the way that I was trained, which was to really encourage women to choose abortion, to have it at Planned Parenthood, because that counts — you know — towards our goal.”

I shudder at the use of the term “sales goals” to describe abortions. Clinics have quotas for abortions, and family planning locations have quotas for abortion referrals. Employees would shame lower-income women into abortions if the women could not pay for the initial appointment.

Thayer also said, “You know, it sounds kind of crazy, but pizza is a motivator. Pizza party.”

Former Planned Parenthood nurse Marianne Anderson shared her perspective on the reward system as well:

It was drilled into our heads to answer that phone, that phone by the third ring, because after three rings it would transfer over to the manager’s office and she did not like having to answer those phone calls, but we were constantly told, “You have quotas to meet to stay open.”

I felt like I was, more like I was selling abortions sometimes than treating people.

Here’s further proof that Planned Parenthood will stop at nothing to push women into abortion rather than helping them and offering options like adoption. It’s nothing short of heartbreaking.
