David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt had all charges against them in connection with their Planned Parenthood baby body parts expose videos dismissed by Texas District Judge Brock Thomas. As the indictment should haver have been made in the first place, this is fitting.
From the AP:
District Judge Brock Thomas dismissed the tampering with government records charge against 27-year-old David Daleiden and 63-year-old Sandra Merritt upon the request of the Harris County prosecutor’s office.
Defense attorneys said the pair never should have been indicted. If they had been convicted of the felony charge, each could have been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.
Prosecutors alleged that Daleiden and Merritt used fake driver’s licenses to conceal their identities while dealing with Planned Parenthood. The videos accused Planned Parenthood of illegally selling fetal tissue to researchers for profit.
Of course, the main stream media gathered for the story’s funeral, digging a 12 foot hole instead of the normal six foot grave to bury this story. As of this writing:
Daleiden’s and Merritt’s attorneys are right. There should never have been an indictment (from May 25, The Federalist).
Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast attorney Josh Schaffer admitted under oath that the Harris County District Attorney’s office broke the law by sharing evidence against undercover journalist David Daleiden leading up to the grand jury hearings against him. The evidence was shared even after the Texas Attorney General’s office had forbidden them from doing so, according to an attorney involved in the case.
This whole case was nothing but media cover for Planned Parenthood so they could go on slaughtering babies and selling the parts. And now they can continue doing so using lower medical standards than a third world tent clinic, in Texas, thanks to the Supreme Court.
Hillary Clinton just loves PP. Donald Trump said they do “good things” and Libertarian Gary Johnson believes in abortion on demand. The pro-life cause has been placed firmly in the back seat to every other issue in America, when abortion is the worst scourge (and worst holocaust for African-American babies) since slavery.
I’m reminded of 1856. Maybe 2020 will be like 1860, when we will have a real Republican in office, willing to stand for those with no voice of their own. God help America.
