In under an hour today, Donald Trump’s rally starts (11 a.m. Pacific). Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio will be in charge of local security–a man who has pledged his loyalty to Trump.
“Here I’m gonna be kinda wearing two hats — in charge of the security there in the town and also participating, I would imagine, with Trump in the rally, so it makes it interesting,” Arpaio said in an interview with POLITICO, adding that it “is going to be a lot of fun taking care of business there.”
Will there be a lot of protesters? That remains to be seen. But here’s what’s going on right now.

It could be a bone-cracking mess in Arizona as protesters clash with police, run by Trump’s private security muscle man, who is “taking care of business.”
Conflict of interest? Of course it is. But in Trump’s world, it’s convert or die (or be arrested by his deputized security whose boss is personally loyal to him).
