Rep. John Faso (R-NY) Wants to Keep Planned Parenthood Funded Because He is Scared of Twitter Trolls

If there is ever a Women’s March again, they could just put pictures of Republican Congressman John Faso (R-NY) on their heads. Behind closed doors, Rep. Faso has been caught on tape arguing that the GOP should not defund Planned Parenthood with Obamacare because of twitter trolls.

Faso’s direct quote is:

“Health insurance is going to be tough enough for us to deal with without having millions of people on social media come to Planned Parenthood’s defense and sending hundreds of thousands of new donors to the Democratic Senate and Democratic congressional campaign committees. So I would just urge us to rethink this.”

The Venn diagram on people who support Obamacare and people who support Planned Parenthood is just about a single circle. That this guy is too chicken to take on the fight and do the right thing suggests he is more concerned about his cushy seat in Washington than about the citizens of this country.

What’s worse, Republicans in general at this meeting are getting scared of repealing Obamacare. They don’t want to do it. They want to leave massive entitlements in place to bankrupt the country and want to not improve healthcare.
