I’ve resisted the expedient retoric that Michael Schiavo is a monster. That is cheap name calling. But, given this, you have to wonder.

By the way, did you know that the expert used to say Terri is in a persistent vegetative state (“PVS”) is big in the “right to die” movement. Additionally, he once diagnosed a man as PVS who could respond to requests from therapists and navigate himself around in a wheelchair. This is the same expert who advocates starvation of alzheimer patients.

Lastly, Paul Cella, over at RedState, points out that the PVS diagnosis was made without using either a PET scan or an MRI.

The default option in this country should be life, not death.
