Stand With Bass Pro Shops

The country’s foremost outdoor retailer is Bloomberg stooge Shannon Watts’ latest target.

Bass Pro Shops, a.k.a., the Disneyland for outdoorsy folks, supports the Second Amendment and that doesn’t sit well with Ms. Watts. She attacked the store for liking an NRA tweet featuring gun advocate and sexual assault survivor Kimberly Corban.

The notorious mom who “preaches” gun safety – code word for benevolent gun control – maligns stores that permit firearms or legal possession of firearms through Moms Demand Action. In actuality, she works full-time pushing a virulent crusade against businesses and gun rights advocates. In this case, she adds insult to injury by accusing BPS of not administering background checks on their gun sales, which is patently false.

Below is the tweet the outdoor retailer sent in response to Watts’ inquiry. The tweet from Bass Pro Shops has since been deleted.

Bass Pro Shops acquired Cabela’s this fall. In August 2015, 13 Democrat senators sent a letter to both stores urging them to change one aspect of the gun sales policy. Neither responded nor caved to pressure.

If anti-gunners wage a full-out assault on them, the American people and market forces will side with Bass Pro Shops. If the outdoor retailer weren’t pricy, I’d frequent it more. Nevertheless, this angler and gun owner proudly stands with Bass Pro Shops. I hope you do too.
