Beauty and the Beast by Disney

Why Is Disney Sexualizing Beauty and the Beast to Advance the Gay Agenda?

By now you have probably heard that Disney is set to introduce its first openly gay character in the new “Beauty and the Beast” movie set for release. The vehicle for the introduction is the dim witted, flamboyantly effeminate sidekick to the bad guy.

What we do know is that LeFou, the character, will have some sort of obvious gay moment. It goes without saying that such a moment does not exist in the original movie or broadway play.

Take the gay part out of this for a minute. Why must Disney add a bit of sexualization to a kids’ movie anyway? To the extent it is a romance, it is a love story of a girl and her father and of a girl’s growing love for a beast. The only other love story is Gaston’s (the bad guy) love of himself.

Dragging someone else’s sexual attraction into the story just for the advancement of gay rights is dumb and not really appropriate for or fitting within the story. Disney, along with much of Hollywood, has waged an ongoing indoctrination effort to make boys and girls both appear effeminate and unisexual as well as advancing same-sex relations as normal. So this is to be expected.

It just seems if it is relevant to the plot it would be appropriate, but otherwise it is just gratuitous agenda advancing through sexualization of a children’s movie. But again, given that it is the dim witted, flamboyantly effeminate sidekick of the bad guy they are going to do this with, I suspect a lot of kids will not connect it to anything resembling normal.

In fact, I would suspect a lot of families resistant to the advancement of the gay rights agenda who go see the movie will use LeFou’s depiction against him as a teachable moment, thereby doing more harm than good to Disney’s intentions.

California Law Seeks to Punish Other States For Allowing Religious Groups to Exist

The left’s ongoing war against religion has escalated to a new and absurd level. California now has a law that prohibits state funded travel to states it believes discriminate against the BLT&G community. The latest target is Kansas. Why? Well, Kansas has a law that allows religious groups to exist on college campuses. Since a Christian group would want a Christian in charge of it and an Islamic group would want a Muslim in charge of it, California has determined that would potentially discriminate against the BLT&G community.

Kansas is on the travel prohibition list because of a 2016 law that enabled college campus religious groups to require that members adhere to their religious beliefs and standards. That law was crafted partially in response to a controversy in California that occurred when a Christian student group lost recognition on California State University campuses for failure to comply with an “all comers” non-discrimination policy in 2014.

In other words, leftwing nut jobs from California will not be able to use California tax dollars to go into other states that refuse to be bigots toward religious groups. Sounds like a win-win to me, but it also shows the left will not stop until religions in America are forced to abandon adherence to their beliefs.

First They Shut You Up, Then You Will Be Made to Care

I have to quibble, slightly, with the Washington Free Beacon’s Sonny Bunch. In a piece last week Sonny wrote that he did not think I was quite right with my phrase “you will be made to care.” Instead, he thought it should be “you will be made to shut up.”

I would suggest that he stops too soon. Yes, along the way to making people care, many of us must be shut up first.

In fact, we see that is the initial play with the left. A young man last week pointed out that transgenderism is largely a mental health issue and started receiving threats on twitter and general harassment. The Fire Chief in Atlanta referred to homosexuality as a sin and lost his job. Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty quoted scripture and the left tried to drive him from the airwaves. The Benham Brothers are evangelical Christians and had their TV deal cancelled for offending the gay mafia.

Christians will be made to shut up. Those who question political correctness will be made to shut up. Now there is a new troubling story out. A tenured professor at Marquette University lost his tenure and was fired for a blog post in which he took issue with a graduate student who told a class only bigots and homophobes could question gay marriage. The one student who did question it was failed. Again, a tenured professor lost his job for raising questions about the appropriateness of a graduate student’s class instruction on gay marriage.

Yes, they’ll try to shut us up. But that is only the halfway point.

As I have written before, particularly on the issue of gay marriage, gay rights activists want the entire veneer of normal. They want the whole package. That involves the Christian florist being forced to provide flowers for a gay wedding. That involves driving from the airwaves anyone who calls homosexuality a sin. That will, eventually, involve forcing pastors to marry gay couples. After all, normally weddings happen in a church. For those of you who say this will never happen, we’re already about to move on to polyamory, which was also, like gay marriage, never going to happen. Just wait.

I’ve had more than one employee of major Fortune 500 companies tell me they are “strongly encouraged” to participate in gay pride events. I have had corporate employees tell me they have had to fill out surveys, with their name on them so that there is no anonymity, that ask frank questions about their views of gay rights.

Eventually, you will be made to care. Once the gay mafia has established that everyone agrees with them because all other voices have been made silent, those of you still thinking you do not have to pick a side or can compromise and nuance your position will have to take a side. You will be made to care about gay marriage one way or the other and if you care the wrong way, good luck finding or keeping a job.

I encounter, on a near weekly basis, more and more Christians who say gay rights is increasingly becoming a modern mark of the beast — either celebrate gay rights or be forced to the sidelines of society. I don’t hold to that theological view, but I completely understand where they are coming from. And it is only going to get worse, requiring a braver, more vocal church.

Sonny Buch is right that you will be made to shut up. But then you will be made to care. And that is precisely why people of faith cannot shut up.

Atlanta’s Fire Chief Suspended For Publicly Professing Christian Beliefs

Even in Atlanta you will be made to care. Atlanta’s Fire Chief, Kelvin Cochran, has been suspended for one month for writing a book in which he maintains orthodox Christian beliefs on sex and marriage.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle,

Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran is suspended for one month without pay after publishing a book that says homosexuality and having multiple sexual partners is “vile,” “vulgar”, and “inappropriate”.
The 162-page paperback titled “Who Told You That You Were Naked?” is being sold at Amazon.com.

The description of the book from Amazon is as follows:

This profound question, “Who told you that you were naked?, meant much more than, “Who told you that you do not have on clothes?” From God’s perspective nakedness meant so much more. It meant condemnation and deprivation to his most precious creation-mankind. Though He reconciled Adam’s condition by clothing him in coats of lambs’ skin, Adam never got over what he had done. Condemnation has dominated ever since. Now we have a more permanent solution. We have been clothed with Christ! Redeemed men who carry the curse of condemnation and deprivation cannot fulfill their purpose as husbands, fathers, community and business leaders-world changers! Adam never gave God a straight answer. It’s time to answer that question. WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE NAKED?

Chief Cochran is an evangelical Christian who has not shied away from his faith in the past. He left the Atlanta Fire Department to take a job in the Obama Administration. He returned, however, to the city he loves to head its Fire Department. But the gay mafia is loudly complaining that Chief Cochran, by writing this book, will suddenly now not put out the fires of gay homes, or something like that.

Specifically, the accusation is that by being honest about his orthodox Christian views on sex and marriage, Chief Cochran is undermining the public trust in him. You’d think the government would appreciate Kelvin Cochran being a role model to young black men in Atlanta, but they are instead much more focused on not offending the gay rights community.

What Mayor Reed and the gay rights community are saying is that if you work for government you cannot be open about your Christian faith. Again, you will be made to care.

If you like, you can order a copy of Chief Cochran’s book and maybe even send one to Mayor Kasim Reed. Mayor Reed’s address is:
