The Left Must Have a Scapegoat: Now It Will Be Tannerite

Authorities now believe that the New Jersey bombs and the Manhattan bombs were made by the same person. The New York bomb contained Tannerite, a concoction of ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder used to mark shots in target shooting.

Tannerite is considered a fairly harmless product, and experts told Fox News it would take “a large amount” to create the kind of blast that happened in New York. But expect liberals in Congress to call for it to be banned. You won’t hear them calling to ban pressure cookers and knives, but those aren’t used by sport shooters.

Since the gun control-crazed Democrats can’t tie the terror attacks in New York and New Jersey to guns, and the killer in Minnesota used a knife, they’ll go after Tannerite. The Minnestota stabbings have already been tied to ISIS, which claimed the killer as theirs:

“The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition,” the statement said.

It won’t be long before evidence emerges tying the two bombings to radical Islam, but Mayor Bill de Blasio refuses even to speculate.

“We’re going to be very careful and patient to get to the full truth here,” de Blasio said Sunday. “We have more work to do to be able to say what kind of motivation was behind this. Was it a political motivation? A personal motivation? What was it? We do not know that yet.”

When the evidence surfaces, they’ll claim a lone wolf, and blame Tannerite. From the company’s website:

Our KICK-ASS invention is specifically designed to be safe. Tannerite® will not cause a fire, can not be initiated by any method other than a center fire rifle, and we hold a valid patent on Binary Reactive Targets. We have spent endless amounts of funds proving legality in court, proving legality in ALL 50 STATES and many years perfecting the product. We are pursuing any/all potential patent infringers aggressively.

Tannerite Sports LLC is a small business located in Pleasant Hill, Oregon. The owners and employees there, as of now, will find themselves at the center of a discussion that should rightly be about radical Islamic terror. But instead, they’ll probably have to fear for their jobs.

Liberals must have a scapegoat, and–unfortunately for Tannerite–it’s you.

The ‘Intentional’ Non-Terror Bombing Where Trump Says ‘Bomb’

The insanity of whoever set off a large bomb in Manhattan last night, and whoever set off a pipe bomb in New Jersey earlier Saturday only differs from liberal insanity in its violent intent. I would never accuse liberals in the press and in politics of being violent, but their disconnect from reality is just as real.

Mayor Bill De Blasio said that the bomb was “an intentional act” (which is at this point obvious given the physical evidence of a wired-up pressure cooker found three blocks away). In the same press conference, he robbed the word “terror” of any meaning when he said authorities had found “no evidence at this point of a terror connection to this incident.”

Apparently the definition of terror morphs to only apply when a direct connection to ISIS or right-wing anti-government groups is found. It’s not terror when someone merely inspired by radical Islam carries it out. Hence the lone-wolves in San Bernardino and Orlando (and Chattanooga, Fort Hood, etc.).

Terror is terror. When a huge bomb explodes in Manhattan, injuring 29, shattering windows, and causing general mayhem, it’s terror. We don’t need an official connection for that.

Liberals are incapable of being plain-spoken, because reality is too inconvenient for them. And Donald Trump is capable of being plain-spoken about certain things, which angers them to no end.

“Just before I got off the plane,” Trump said at a rally in Colorado, “a bomb went off in New York.” Yes. It was a bomb. It went off.

Compare this to Hillary Clinton, who spoke to the adoring press on her chartered jet, looking like she was interrupted from her hourly nap. “I’ve been briefed about the bombings in New York and New Jersey,” she said.

First question from a reporter: “Secretary Clinton, do you have any reaction to the fact that Donald Trump immediately stated tonight calling the explosion in New York a ‘bomb?‘”

Clinton answered as if she had not just said “the bombings,” reverting to the word “incident.” Like someone left a pressure cooker plugged in on their front steps while they were cooking up a batch of explosive chemicals, using a cellphone as a timer. Or perhaps Clinton simply forgot the words she herself just used 15 seconds before.

Either the reporter who asked that needs some listening skills, or the question was front-loaded because it’s all about nailing Trump. Or both, most likely. The press is so foaming and rabid to make Trump into a monster (he is what he is, I’m no Trump apologist), that they ignore the fact that a bomb did go off and Hillary called it a bombing to ask a question that was clearly asinine.

Liberals like de Blasio and Clinton, along with the sycophantic press, are just handing the race to Trump by being so absurdly stupid. If Trump wins, we can blame them for it.

Two Explosions In Trash Containers, One Was A Pipe Bomb, A Coincidence?

Just before noon on Saturday, what authorities called a rudimentary pipe bomb went off in a garbage can on the New Jersey shore, which led to the discovery of two more devices wired together. Only one exploded, according to authorities. Nobody was injured.

Al Della Fave, a spokesman for the Ocean County prosecutor’s office, said he believes the blast was meant to affect the Seaside Semper Five race.

“If it was just a matter of minutes, in terms of difference, there would have been a good number of people running past that explosive device” because of its location along the race route, Della Fave said.

Registration problems at the starting line delayed the start of the race, which meant no one was near the garbage can when the explosion happened, a law enforcement official said.

“We were lucky,” the official said.

Another blast, this one much larger, injured at least 25 people in the Chelsea section of Manhattan in New York City, at about 8:40 p.m.

Fox News reported, “The blast was heard on West 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues in the city’s Chelsea neighborhood.”

Authorities have not yet determined whether this explosion was caused by a device specifically planted there, or if it was any kind of bomb. But any explanations not involving a man-made explosive seem to be unlikely.

Witnesses told Fox News that the blast was “very forceful,” extremely loud and causing a large cloud of smoke.

Two explosions. One is known to be a pipe bomb that seemed to be intended to injure American  runners in a race dedicated to the Marine Corps. The other is still an enigma.

On Friday, the Pentagon announced that an airstrike had killed a senior ISIS leader–the group’s minister of information. ABC News reported:

“On September 7, coalition forces conducted a precision strike near Raqqah, Syria, that targeted and killed ‘Dr. Wa’il,’ also known as Wa’il Adil Hasan Salman al-Fayad, one of ISIL’s most senior leaders,” Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook said in a statement today.

Without speculating, and of course no claim of responsibility as of this writing, there’s plenty of raw motive here, and a specific event to which ISIS might be responding, if this is inspired by the terror group.

Overall, the two events seem unprofessional and somewhat uncoordinated. But the probability that they are sheer coincidence is alarmingly low.
