The Sign Language for “Abortion” Speaks More Powerfully Than the Spoken Word

Few words in the English language bear the weight of finality and dread, quite the way the word “abortion” does.

While both sides of the political debate on the subject have their talking points, and both will charge forward, their passions for “choice” or “life” waving like a battle flag, all the casual bystander sees is the division.

It’s the politics and the policy, but the actual reality seems to slip through the cracks.

Most of us would probably describe ourselves, on some level, as being visual creatures. What we can see is more impactful than all the facts, figures, and raw data in the world.

Now there is this: What if you were deaf, and couldn’t hear the debate between the two sides? What if you had never heard the very sterile, clinical way some advocates describe abortion, or the harsh, gut-wrenching way abortion opponents describe it?

What if your only introduction to abortion was having the word signed?

A pro-life activist named Obianuju Ekeocha took to social media with several powerful tweets, each showing the sign language translation for the word “abortion.”

This is an exercise.

Watch these videos in complete silence. Cover your ears if you have to, in order to fully appreciate how the deaf would see and perceive what is shown here.

How do you feel? What do you think of?

Then ask yourself how completely accurate this signage is. Where there once was the hope of full arms, it was scraped and discarded, as you would discard trash.

There is no way to make “abortion” into a positive or empowering word, because there is no way to glorify the rejection of life.

Video Shows Abortionists’ Savagery, So, Of Course, The Videographer & His Lawyers Must Be Jailed

Upton Sinclair published “The Jungle” in 1906. Within months, Congress enacted the Pure Food & Drug Act in response to the book’s exposure of the filth permeating Chicago’s meatpacking and livestock butchering industry.

David Daleiden’s videos are exposing the filth of today’s human butchering industry. Daleiden is an undercover journalist who, as described by LifeSite News, produces undercover videos showing “Planned Parenthood executives and workers haggling over the prices of baby body parts, picking through the arms and legs of aborted babies in a pie tray, and discussing how to alter abortion methods to obtain better body parts for sale.”

Listen to the audience’s reaction when, a little over a minute into the video posted here, an attendee at the National Abortion Federation’s 2014 conference complains about an abortion in which “an eyeball just fell down into my lap, and that is gross!”

Listen to the laughter again. It is the sound of unmitigated evil. Torture and mutilation bring out the jovial side of modern-day savages, be they abortionists chuckling about a baby’s severed eyeballs, Auschwitz staffers enjoying a break, or ISIS-inspired Muslims giggling as a woman gets raped.

Abortionists asked William Orrick, a federal judge, to gag Daleiden. Orrick was a board member of an organization that has a “key partnership” with Planned Parenthood, and his wife has posted public comments, pictured with her husband, that are supportive of Planned Parenthood and critical of Daleiden. Not surprisingly, Orrick promptly ordered Daleiden not to post his video of the 2014 abortion conference.

State prosecutors then piled on. Xavier Becerra, California’s Attorney General and recipient of over $5,000 from Planned Parenthood between 1998 and 2014, filed 15 criminal charges in state court against Daleiden. This was too much even for a left-wing rag like the Los Angeles Times, which called Becerra’s criminal filing “disturbingly aggressive.

Abortion fanatics weren’t satisfied with Daleiden having all the fun. Daleiden’s criminal defense attorneys, Brentford Ferreira and Steve Cooley,* posted a copy of the video a few months ago. Abortionists demand they be held in contempt. So now, along with Daleiden himself, Daleiden’s attorneys are facing jail (and disbarment) even though Judge Orrick’s gag order against Daleiden in the federal civil case placed no restrictions on the attorneys handling the state criminal case.

On Wednesday, by some miracle, the state court threw out 14 of the 15 charges. But the abortionists still have the upper hand. One criminal count survived, which is enough to force Daleiden to stand trial in a state criminal case, while being defended by attorneys with their own criminal exposure, while also having to defend against a federal civil lawsuit presided over by a judge whose impartiality is subject to question, to put it charitably.

Planned Parenthood and others are desperate to suppress Daleiden’s videotaped, abortion-themed sequel to “The Jungle.”  But they’re worrying too much. Saving unborn children from skull-crushing cranial forceps doesn’t stir America’s heart the way that saving cattle from unsanitary stockyards did a century ago. Instead, Republicans in Congress will continue funding Planned Parenthood with tax dollars while the Republican Party uses the specter of abortion to fleece pro-life Americans. The Party long ago made its peace with savagery because, like Planned Parenthood, too many of its contributions would dry up if abortion mills closed their doors.

Abortionists demand Orrick impose legal destruction upon Daleiden and his attorneys. Orrick likely won’t disappoint. But, someday, a higher Judge will issue a judgment upon the “doctors” and other “health care providers” in Daleiden’s videos. And they won’t be the only ones on the receiving end of that judgment. The videos will negate any defense of ignorance offered by those who, while quietly financing a holocaust against the unborn, publicly proclaim “the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed.

* Full Disclosure: I worked with Ferreira a decade ago when we were prosecutors in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. I consider him a friend. I’ve also had dealings with Cooley, though not quite as cordial.

YES! Oklahoma House Recognizes Abortion As Murder

On Monday, the Oklahoma House of Representatives passed a resolution selecting abortion to be murder and criticizing the U.S. Supreme Court’s decisions allowing women to seek “elective abortions,” The Hill reports.

The resolution “carries no wait of law,” but states that the Supreme Court “overstepp[ed] its authority and jurisdiction” in landmark cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which “affirmed” a woman’s right to seek an abortion.

The resolution calls on public officials to “stop the murder of innocent unborn children by abortion,” and commands the Oklahoma Supreme Court to “stay out” of any future cases involving state abortion law.

Under Oklahoma state law, a woman who wishes to obtain an abortion must undergo counseling and wait 72 hours before getting  the procedure. Abortions performed after 20 weeks are banned unless the life of the mother is at risk.

Only five medical facilities in the state provide abortion services.

The Federal Pro-Life Message

Early 2001, at the beginning of President Bush’s first term in office, Robert Moffitt Senior Fellow with the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Health Policy Studies, wrote the following:  (Heritage Foundation)

It is often said, correctly, that personnel is policy. The nexus between personnel management and policy management is therefore crucial. Good policies cannot be advanced without good, capable, and committed personnel to formulate, implement, aggressively promote, and steadfastly defend them. Thus, the most important rule of presidential personnel management is to appoint people who are fully committed to the presidential agenda. Moreover, the appointees must be fully prepared to articulate that agenda, effectively defend it in the public forum, and oversee the correct execution of the President’s specific policies by the career civil service.

Last Friday, President Trump appointed Charmaine Yoest to the post of Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs in the Department of Health and Human Services. The National Catholic Register details her background (NCR):

Yoest served for years as president and CEO of Americans United for Life, a pro-life law organization that works to coordinate and support the advance of pro-life legislation, particularly at the state level. She is currently a senior fellow at American Values in Washington, D.C. With a Ph.D. in American government from the University of Virginia, Yoest also served as project director of a national study on paid parental leave in academia. She worked in the White House under President Ronald Reagan in the Office of Presidential Personnel.

For the past eight years, President Obama, along with his coterie of like minded progressive liberal appointees, worked assiduously to retool the American brand into a blend of socialism and democracy. Working and in hand rebranding the American id, he and his trusty sidekick Joe Biden were consistently tilting US social values to the far left.

Our Feminist-in-Chief demonstrated his personal values in areas such as reducing the value of male attributes by promoting the superiority and role of women. Additionally, he brought the entire LGBTQ community into normalized mainstream America, vocalized U.S. support for legalized gay marriage as well as going all-in on the Trans movement.

But where he was particularly vicious was in the pro-abortion arena. Which was not surprising, given as a State Senator, he had voted for the legalized right to murder a newly born baby. In every way possible, President Obama pushed the pro-abortion agenda. The first day in office, he rescinded the “Mexico City Policy”, thereby allowing his administration the ability to fund abortions globally. His largesse to Planned Parenthood can only be compared to favoritism on a Chicago Mayor Daly scale. Through his Department of Justice, he steadfastly fought every state who resisted his aggressive agenda  But most horrifying, was the liberal push for the normalization of late-term abortions.

Most have heard or read about Kermit Gosnell, convicted murderer and America’s most prolific serial killer. For many years, Dr. Gosnell ran the a filthy murderous drive-by clinic in Philadelphia, when he was finally arrested, not one word was heard from our leader duly sworn to serve all of America.

Proverbs 14:34 says “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Righteousness is the respect for and adherence to the rule of law. In discussing a book on Old Testament Theology, The Reformed Reader listed reasons for the importance of the Ten Commandments. (Reformed Reader)

The Ten Commandments are not restricted to geography or history.  Whereas the other laws were intended for Israel in the Sworn Land (Deut. 5:31), the Ten Commandments are not bound by time and space.  They express God’s fundamental moral stance [and are echoed in the New Testament].

Both President Clinton and Obama, in their own ways, displayed breathtaking lack of regard for the rule of law. From the very beginning of President Obama’s term, working with his DOJ hatchet man, Eric Holder, Obama was utterly contemptuous of both God’s law as well as U.S. law. Just as President Clinton’s casual attitude toward sex and adultery filtered down into the psyches and behavours of our children, President Obama’s total disregard for law has resulted in the loss of affection for the rule of law, and a diminishment of our reliance upon it as integral to the fabric of our society.

Abortion is still legal, but the rate of this legalized murder is in the decline, and many states are moving aggressively to slow, (if not end), the practice of abortion. Over the past 100 days, what is most gratifying is our new President’s consistent stance supporting the pro-life agenda.

There is definitely a new sheriff in town, and a new American message being sent worldwide. The federal list of influential pro-life advocates  is growing every day. From our esteemed Vice President to Justice Gorsuch, to Sessions, DeVos, Perry, Price, Yoest, Carson, Pruitt, Yoest, Conway and many more.

While we have miles to go in order to fully recoup true conservative social values, in this one area, finally the Federal Government speaks with the voice of the people. To murder the innocent is a heinous crime which must be refuted and cannot be allow to continue.

This pro-life message is being built person by person within the government, and is reflective of government policy that will bring it’s own blessings over time. It is incumbent upon pro-life advocates to fully support this message, because it is a surety the former President and his Resistance will fight it tooth and nail.

Senator Marco Rubio Speaks Powerfully on Behalf of the Unborn

I have always enjoyed listening to Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) speak, especially on issues of faith and life. There are few who can meet quite the same level of eloquence and passion as Senator Rubio, and for all of the attacks against him that argue to the contrary, the man has a true conservative’s heart.

His remarks today, in honor of the 2017 March for Life, were featured at Lifenews.com and he perfectly defines what the modern fight for the right to life is all about.

I’m encouraged that we have Senator Rubio and others who share his respect for unborn life sitting in the seat of lawmakers in Washington, D.C.

I’m encouraged that we have a president who, for all the issues I have with him, seems willing to hear them out, and to stand with them.

With that said, I’ll give you Senator Rubio’s full remarks. Whatever you’re doing, stop, and take a couple of minutes to read.
When you’re done, seek out Senator Rubio somewhere on social media and thank him for the stand he has taken in defense of the unborn.

I intend to.

For 43 years, Americans from across the country have traveled to the nation’s capital to unite in support of the simple yet powerful belief that all human beings have the right to life. The March for Life is a movement that serves as a voice for the voiceless and helps defend the defenseless, and I will never apologize for standing up for this fundamental human right.

Even as we mourn the morally tragic and abhorrent legacy of Roe v. Wade, this year’s March for Life is an opportunity to recommit ourselves to advancing pro-life policies after a decade of playing defense against the Democrats’ pro-abortion agenda. Thankfully, the annual number of abortions in the United States has dropped to the lowest level in decades, but our work is far from done. We must win the policy battles to come, continue to peacefully persuade hearts and minds, and cultivate a culture of life that makes abortion even more rare.

Roe v. Wade was a fundamentally flawed decision, one that manufactured a constitutional right to end innocent lives – a right that does not exist in our Constitution and directly contradicts our Declaration of Independence’s commitment to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” This decision is a constant reminder of the important role presidents play in nominating judges to the federal bench, and the responsibility senators have to vet them. As President Trump prepares to nominate Antonin Scalia’s successor to the U.S. Supreme Court, we have the first significant opportunity in a long time to restore our judiciary’s proper role as arbiters of the law, not creators of it. It is imperative that we rally behind nominees who understand their job does not entail legislating from the bench.

Outside the courtroom, we must continue winning over public opinion – with science firmly on our side. On certain issues, liberals insist that science is irrefutable and should lead us to adopt policies that destroy our economy and cost workers their paychecks. However, one notable exception to their appeal to science is abortion. Advancements in science have only bolstered the argument for life, and proven that unborn children are capable of feeling pain at 20 weeks in the womb. Despite this scientific conclusion, most Democrats choose to ignore the evidence and support abortion on demand at any stage of pregnancy, even 5 months. According to a November 2014 Quinnipiac survey, 60 percent of adults – including 59 percent of women – support restrictions on abortion after 20 weeks.

The more the science of embryology and neurological developments is researched and better understood, the more clear it has become that every unborn child is a person. This scientific fact is why abortion advocates resort to justifying millions of abortions by pointing to the most infrequently reported reasons. In the last two years in Florida, less than one-third of one percent of all abortions were performed due to rape or incest, according to Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration. Out of 135,687 abortions, only .047 percent were performed because the mother’s life was endangered. The vast majority of abortions (92 percent) were simply elective.

The 2016 election was a clarion call for the restoration of the sanctity of life. Americans returned a pro-life majority to Congress and elected a president who has decried late-term abortions. President Trump already acted to defend life by restoring a Reagan Administration directive ensuring U.S. taxpayer dollars are not used to perform or promote abortions overseas. I hope Congress will act in the coming months to make the Hyde Amendment permanent law.

In the U.S. Senate, I have worked to pass legislation protecting human life. In 2013, I voted for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. In advance of today’s march, I reintroduced the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act, which would prohibit the transportation of a minor child across a state line to obtain an abortion and make it harder for criminals to cover up rape. More than 80 percent of Americans believe parents have a right to know if their child undergoes an abortion, and I believe we should close the loophole that allows people to get around states’ parental notification laws.

Today, as the March for Life commences, I am proud to stand with the people who make up this movement. I also recognize how difficult reality can be for those young women who find themselves grappling with an unplanned pregnancy. Two rights are in conflict: the right of women to control their bodies, and the right of every unborn child to live. For me, I will always err on the side of life. We must do everything we can to give every human life a chance, and the March for Life is a big reason we are making progress and have hope for a better future.

Well said, Senator. Well said, indeed.

WATCH: Undercover Video Exposes Planned Parenthood’s Prenatal Care Lie

The debate from the left has always been that Planned Parenthood was vital to women’s healthcare. Without it, how would they survive?

In fact, so protective are the liberal sentinels over abortion access that you truly have to wonder how women remain alive after giving birth. To hear their frenzied protests, pregnancy is the same as a death sentence for women, hence the reason they frame Planned Parenthood’s survival and continued funding as a women’s health issue.

The actual facts are, women’s health covers much broader territory than simply having access to abortion. Every need that women have, as far as cancer screenings, checkups, immunizations, etc… are covered at community health departments. The only thing these centers lack are abortion rooms.

And should a woman make the choice to carry through with her pregnancy, is Planned Parenthood there for that purpose, as well, providing prenatal screenings and checkups? Or are they simply the infanticide mill that most suspect they are?

Planned Parenthood insist that they do offer prenatal care as part of their services, but a site called LiveAction.org has released an undercover video, debunking that claim.

“The Prenatal Care Deception” is the first in Live Action’s “Abortion Corporation” series of investigative videos highlighting Planned Parenthood’s own employees saying its focus is providing abortions, not women’s health care. Live Action is releasing the investigative series as Congress plans to redirect Medicaid dollars away from Planned Parenthood to local health clinics and also vote on the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

Anyone who values life and the rights of the unborn should be all over this.

Planned Parenthood are desperate, at the moment. They feel their grasp on government dollars slipping away.

Although Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards told the media in 2011 that “Prenatal care – these are the kinds of services that folks depend on Planned Parenthood for,” Live Action investigators searching for such services at Planned Parenthood were turned away by 92 of the 97 centers they contacted. They received responses like:
“Planned Parenthood offers abortions, so they don’t offer prenatal care.”
– Tempe, AZ, Planned Parenthood

“No, we don’t do prenatal services. I mean, it’s called Planned Parenthood, I know it’s kind of deceiving.”
– Merrillville, IN, Planned Parenthood

“No, see, we don’t see pregnant women as a way of giving prenatal care, we see pregnant women, um, you know, if they are considering other options.”
– Santa Fe, NM, Planned Parenthood

Disgusted, yet?

For years, the organization has defended its practices by calling abortion only a small part of what they do. They gave an estimate of 3 percent, as to how much of their practice is made up of abortion, but the facts are, PP is responsible for 30% of the nation’s abortions.

Live Action’s previously released “3%” video uses Planned Parenthood’s own numbers to prove it doesn’t perform a single mammogram, and it performs less than two percent of all women’s cancer screenings in the United States, yet it commits over 30 percent of America’s abortions: 887 abortions a day and over 320,000 abortions last year alone. Planned Parenthood is so focused on abortion that it aborts 160 children for every one child it refers out for adoption.

Live Action is launching a digital ad campaign, at the cost of around $500,000 to get the word out to America about what is really going on with Planned Parenthood, and how they are profiting, through tax paid funds, by killing the unborn.

Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action has been responsible for a decade of undercover work, exposing the corrupt and contemptible actions of Planned Parenthood.

“We know from past experience that Planned Parenthood is untrustworthy and lies repeatedly to the public, as it did during Live Action’s 2011 child sex trafficking exposé. Last week, Live Action released public records that show Planned Parenthood failed to report child sex traffickers to local authorities as it had claimed. Planned Parenthood also lied about retraining thousands of its staff to identify and report sex traffickers. Instead, a former manager says the sessions were used to train staff how to identify undercover journalists. You can read the article and see the evidence here.”

Are these the people who should continue to reap benefit from the pockets of taxpayers and off of the aborted lives of the unborn?
Watch the latest video and consider these things, for yourself.

We’re About to Witness the Greatest Show in Washington

Folks, we are about to witness the greatest show in Washington, D.c. It is coming to you within days. In fact, if you know where to look, it is already happening.

For decades, the GOP and Pro-Life groups have been pouring in money from people who want to stop the killing of innocent children.

Now we have videos of Planned Parenthood pulling whole children from freezers. We have videos of Planned Parenthood cutting open the head of a little boy while his heart is beating to extract his brain. We have videos of Planned Parenthood haggling over prices.

So now a large portion of the Pro-Life Movement™ and Republican Leadership are going to scramble to tell you that defunding Planned Parenthood will accomplish nothing and a government shutdown will do nothing.

Already, they are making the case that shutting down the government will not stop Planned Parenthood because Planned Parenthood gets money from mandatory spending, not discretionary spending. They have structured a system so they can take your money in the name of saving babies while doing nothing to stop it.

It is also utter crap.

If Republicans and the Pro-Life Movement™ want to stop Planned Parenthood, they would stop Planned Parenthood.

But they don’t really want to fight. They just want you to keep writing checks.

They will find excuses to let the killings continue and the money keep flowing all while trying to convince you not to believe your lying eyes.

The Pro-Life Movement Must Stop Being Whores of the Republican Party

I know there are many angered by the title of this post, but the truth hurts. I cannot tell you the number of times I have been to political events where a politician kisses babies and talks Jesus so the pro-lifers in the crowd get thigh sweats and send the politician to Washington. When the politician takes up with his mistress or pays for an abortion or, as Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)Heritage ActionScorecardRep. Renee Ellmers51%House Republican AverageSee Full Scorecard51% did, undermines the pro-life cause, they are just horrified.

But still they return predictable to the GOP for more abuse and disappointment.

Maybe it is time for a third party to give the GOP competition. Yesterday, the GOP threw its base under the bus. The Republicans who claim to support the pro-life movement, including Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)Heritage ActionScorecardRep. Renee Ellmers51%House Republican AverageSee Full Scorecard51% who claimed she’d vote for the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act after she ensured it would not pass, need to be beaten. Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)Heritage ActionScorecardRep. Renee Ellmers51%House Republican AverageSee Full Scorecard51%, in particular, must be ruined politically even if it means the pro-life community sends a pro-abortion Democrat in her place. They’ll still have improved the seat by replacing Ellmers with someone who is not a damnable liar.

In short, the pro-life movement must stop being the whores of the GOP. The Republican Leadership knows the pro-life movement is in its pocket. They have nowhere else to go. They have no one else to vote for. As much as Republicans look at black voters and tut-tut that they are being taken advantage of by a Democratic Party that knows black voters will not go anywhere, the Republicans are doing precisely the same to pro-life voters.

Yesterday, a former Director of RedState, Thomas Crown, said his goodbye here. He wrote

RedState was founded — waaaaaay back — to promote conservatives in the primary and Republicans in the general, but always, always the pro-lifers. It is now clear, to me, that this is a hopeless cause. What that says about the possibility of peacefully reforming our legalized regime of mass murder, I leave to others. In 2007, I resigned as a Director of this site, in what was once one of the harder decisions I’d made in my life. Today, I know I cannot ever again post here, because I cannot and will not support the Other Party That Protects Abortion on Demand. This is, in its own way, far harder.

He speaks for many pro-lifers I have heard from since late Wednesday night. In the twenty years I have been in politics, I have never heard so much contempt from run of the mill Republican voters. Humorously, people who have for years assailed me for beating up the GOP are now willing to throw up their hands and stay home.

Here at RedState, we would far prefer to see Mr. Crown again on our front page than see the GOP succeed while betraying our chief cause. No front page writer at RedState can be pro-abortion. After fifteen years, the events of yesterday make clear that RedState must change its policy. We will remain conservative in the primary, but now we must say we will generally be Republican in the general. There must come a time, however, when we are willing to blow up a Republican in a general election and make an example of them for betraying our first principles.

That time is now.

This site must now commit itself to defeating Republicans in general elections, even if it means a Democrat will get elected, should those Republicans betray the first principles of our party. Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)Heritage ActionScorecardRep. Renee Ellmers51%House Republican AverageSee Full Scorecard51% must be first on that list. If she is not beaten in a primary, the fight must continue in the general election.

Pro-life voters must do the same. Our shared agenda will never advance if they keep serving as agents of the GOP. National Right to Life, among others, must stop working so hard to give seals of approval to the GOP and must start fighting the GOP. The pro-life cause must stop being a job protection racket for otherwise failed political consultants and must be a child protection effort willing to fight those failed political consultants and the politicians they back.

It is clear the GOP thinks the pro-life cause can be taken for granted and its voters will come home every election because of the Supreme Court, the Mexico City policy, etc. But it must be a two way street. The pro-life cause must stop acting like the Republican Party’s whore and must, instead, show New Testament grace to the world and Old Testament vengeance to politicians.
