The Media Is Not Paying Enough Attention to the Trump-Kremlin Ties

Some of us have been raising this red flag for a while now. Trump has refused to be critical of Vladimir Putin. It has been shown repeatedly that a lot of the Trump trolls online are actually accounts run out of Moscow. Trump has on his payroll Paul Manafort, who has a history of Kremlin supported activities to serve brutal, authoritarian regimes. And now there is a new data point.

Yesterday, in Cleveland, a Virginia delegate named Tommy Valentine was harassed by the Trump campaign for having his name on a petition for a roll call vote. Yahoo News contains this interesting blurb about the person harassing Valentine:

Yahoo News saw Rick Gates, a deputy to Trump adviser Paul Manafort, berating a young delegate from Virginia named Tommy Valentine. “I’m gonna remember how Virginia was an embarrassment at the national convention,” said Gates, who was “identified as an agent of a Ukrainian oligarch” in a 2011 racketeering lawsuit that also named Manafort.

This piece has even more on the Kremlin’s ties to Trump.
