The Pope and the Death Penalty

This is an important must read from Russell Moore on the death penalty.

I think the Pope has it wrong. I appreciate Moore’s response to the Pope on this subject. The call from God to execute murderers predates Moses, going all the way back to Noah. I think it is still binding on us and I don’t think it is a coincidence that as societies have abandoned the death penalty, they have concurrently abandoned the value of human life at all stages.
