The Truth Is…

“Donald Trump’s supporters nominated a Hillary Clinton donor who just got Hillary Clinton into the White House. That Hillary Clinton donor now has thirty days to do his best to give the Democrats the House and Senate too.”

The race is over and Donald Trump has handed the White House and Supreme Court to the left. Early voting has begun. It began after Donald Trump’s dismal debate performance, which continued into his horrible post-debate week, and which now runs through this terrible news cycle.

Trump’s supporters would not listen to reason. They would not listen to millions of us who said he could not win. They wanted to go it alone and do it their way. They sided with a spectacularly terrible candidate who got a free ride from the press in the primaries only to watch as that same press destroyed him in the general.

It is over. Trump and his supporters have cost us the United States Supreme Court.

The only thing left for Trump supporters to do is tear down the reputations of others, be it Ronald Reagan or King David or Jesus, to claim Trump really isn’t so bad because he is just like them. They have never been able to defend Trump without tearing down the reputations of others.

So blinded by their hatred of the Clintons, the Trump supporters gave into that hatred and will now lose to the Clintons. They made a decision based on emotion instead of fact and reason. It will cost them their view of the country and we will all live with the consequences.

The honorable thing for Donald Trump to do now is to bail on the race, allow Mike Pence to run as the nominee, and give the GOP a fighting final chance. But Donald Trump is not nor has he ever been an honorable man. So that will not happen.

Donald Trump’s supporters nominated a Hillary Clinton donor who just got Hillary Clinton into the White House. That Hillary Clinton donor now has thirty days to do his best to give the Democrats the House and Senate too. And his supporters will go along for the ride blaming everyone except their candidate and themselves.

After this is over, the truth is a lot of Trump supporters will never admit Trump was a terrible candidate. They will continue to blame others. His media mouthpieces will point the finger everywhere but at the mirror. They will play victim. They will become the very thing they claim to hate: whiners who refuse to take personal responsibility.
