Truly Outrageous

This is just despicable.

On Thursday, March 22, officials at Burlington Township High School enlisted the help of two local policemen to carry out a mock ‘hostage situation’ drill at their school.  The drill invoked disapproval from Christian students as the student body was told that the alleged gunmen were “members of a right-wing fundamentalist group called the ‘New Crusaders’ who don’t believe in separation of church and state.”

According to a report in the local paper, The Burlington County Times, the mock gunmen pretended to gun down several students in the hallways before taking 10 students hostage in the school’s media center.  Given that the drill was intended to test the disaster response of students, faculty and local emergency personnel, county officers were dispatched during the drill to realistically execute an emergency evacuation of the building.

The drill organizers explained that the supposedly Christian gunmen “went to the school seeking justice because the daughter of one had been expelled for praying before class.”

What makes it more insulting is the quote from the School Superintendent:

School Superintendent Chris Manno praised the drill beforehand explaining that “You perform as you practice. We need to practice under conditions as real as possible in order to evaluate our procedures and plans so that they’re as effective as possible.”

So, hmmm, you wanted to use a fanatical religious group as the group that brings guns to the school and takes hostages. Gee, hmmm, which religious group should you use? Well, I guess you chose safely because if you used the one with followers who just might have a propensity to do this, you probably would have experienced the real thing.

Disgusting and shameful.

  • When did you get so PC?

What’s next? Are you going to protest the fictional TV show The Sopranos next for making the Italians look bad?

  • The fight is real, Erick, and now is the time to realize that Jesus was a man who faced the greatest amount of hatred and evil for us! My son, Mark, told me about the sermon at his church for the past two weeks that focused on the Lord’s Prayer. Jesus went off to pray in seclusion and said the Lord’s Prayer, and he struggled and ask the Father to spare him from “they will be done.” Jesus knew the fate that awaited him, and we know ours, too.

We should fight with all of our might to get this jerk removed as school superintendent and not be allowed to serve in any public school again (not even as a custodian)! Jesus says “pick up the cross and follow me.” This is a hard line to follow, is it not. Jesus did not say to hide in a closet and allow evil to take us over. The time is now to take America back from the secularists, not tomorrow! God bless all!

  • I doubt this would have ticked Jesus off.

    1) He was a pretty mellow dude, note he sported sandals and a robe.

    2) As anyone that’s ever taken communion knows he had pretty thick skin.
