Trump Begins Air War on ‘Deplorables’ in Swing States

Donald Trump’s campaign has a new television ad set to air in swing states, hitting Hillary Clinton hard on her “basket of deplorables” statement.

The latest North Carolina poll by Suffolk University puts Trump ahead of Clinton by 4 points, with two other polls split–the state appears to be a virtual tie.

Meanwhile, Trump came out on Fox & Friends with a restrained and compassionate response to Clinton’s illness.

Trump has a 1 p.m. rally in Baltimore today. If his history is any guide, expect him to blast Clinton on health and probably make some snide or even unkind references you won’t see in press appearances. Then he’ll spend the next two days on every news show explaining himself, while hammering on Clinton’s “deplorables” remark. The man is as predictable as a hemorrhoid.

This is also predictable: It’s going to be a very tough two weeks for Clinton.
