Twisted: Liberal Writer Tries to Sell Abortion as a Sex Enhancer

Just because it’s cloaked between glossy, full-color pages, that doesn’t make it any less vile, or destructive.

Jill Filipovic is a Cosmopolitan columnist and liberal commentator, who frequently contributes to CNN online.

Proving that there is no rhyme or reason to the pro-abortion narrative of the left, Filipovic has spewed forth multiple, horrific theories, most of which border on the insane.

This death-cult existence of liberalism, which measures out the value of human life against convenience, as opposed to personal responsibility is perfectly illustrated in a Tuesday morning tweet by the columnist.

This is the lovely jewel who whined in December 2016 that the election of Donald Trump would make sex a lot less fun.

Let me go on record as saying that if Filipovic’s enjoyment of sex hinges on an election result, then she’s doing it wrong.

She argued that, in addition to the usual “benefits” of abortion, “more of us are able to have sex without the anxiety of pregnancy, to enjoy the unique and fundamentally human pleasure that sex creates, and to tend to our relationships without the interruption and emotional devastation that an unintended pregnancy can bring.”

Filipovic is doing a lot wrong, apparently.

For starters, we don’t live our lives from between our legs.

There’s no such thing as an “unintended” pregnancy. Outside of medical procedures that are only entered into specifically for the purpose of getting pregnant, there’s only one way to get pregnant.

If you’re engaging in that activity, you have to go into it with at least some expectation that you’re beginning the process of creating a human life.

Now, there are methods to lessen the possibility, with varying degrees of success, and I’m going to go out on a limb and say Ms. Filipovic is old enough to have heard about most of them.
Abortion as birth control, however, should never be an option.

Filipovic talks about the “emotional devastation” that unintended pregnancy can bring. I’m going to assume she’s talking about for those women who are post-abortion, because they put their convenience over the life inside them.

A report from CBS News in 2011 showed that women who have abortions stand an 81 percent greater chance of mental health issues, ranging from depression, to anxiety, or to substance abuse.

For the study, researchers analyzed data on 877,000 women, including 164,000 who had an abortion. They found women who had an abortion experienced an 81 percent increased risk for mental problems.

Women who had an abortion were 34 percent more likely to develop an anxiety disorder, 37 percent more likely to experience depression, 110 percent more likely to abuse alcohol, 155 percent more likely to commit suicide, and 220 percent more likely to use marijuana.

Print that in Cosmopolitan.

Filipovic received a Maggie Award for Media Excellence from Planned Parenthood in 2015. The award is given to “fearless journalists and activists for their always honest, brave, and accurate reporting on sexual and reproductive health.”

In other words, it’s given to shameless, heartless hacks, willing to use their platform to push the narrative of abortion as some necessary component of women’s healthcare, rather than the emotionally and physically damaging procedure it actually is. This keeps the currency flowing into Planned Parenthood’s coffers.

Of all the excuses for supporting abortion coming from the left, the idea that abortion is more of an aphrodisiac than love, commitment, and personal responsibility has to be the most corrupt and damaging, of them all.
