Just two years ago, Morning Joe was happy to have a daily call-in from its favorite interview subject, namely Donald Trump. They let him call in and say all kinds of outlandish things, while Joe and Mika snickered a bit but gave then-candidate Trump a platform.
How much things have changed.
This morning’s guest was none other than Rep. Maxine Waters, fount of liberal stupidisms. And true to form, Scarborough let her rant unabated on the topic of President Trump’s impeachment.
Oh yes, Waters brought back into usage a word Hillary Clinton uttered to describe Trump supporters.
“I think he’s the most deplorable person I’ve ever met in my life,” Waters said. “He is a flawed man with no real values, and no real appreciation or understanding for government or public policy,” she continued. “No, I have no hope that anybody is going to be able to contain him, or that he’s going to change.”
She also predicted America is headed for a “constitutional crisis.”
Waters was obviously pleased with herself for being an early supporter of the “impeachment” word.
So they asked if this Congress would ever impeach the president, no matter what is found. Waters believes “the dots will be connected” to show evidence of collusion with the Russians, to the point where “patriotism will win.”
Good luck with that, Rep. Waters.
And good luck Joe and Mika for swinging further than Bruce-now-Caitlyn Jenner ever swung.
