In 1989, I saw the Rolling Stones in concert in Foxboro, Mass for their Steel Wheels tour. It was breathtaking.
I had no idea that The Stones couldn’t stand Donald Trump, or that they performed in Atlantic City at his casino. I had no idea that they had to threaten Trump to get him to leave his own building.
Mr Cohl said he told the property magnate to leave and returned to the band but “five minutes later” Mr Trump’s press conference was up and running once more. Mr Cohl said he asked Mr Trump to leave, again and again, “at which point Keith pulls out his knife and slams it on the table and says, ‘What do I have to do for you? Do I have to go in there and fire him myself? One of us is leaving the building, it’s either him or us.’ ”
But it’s quite an amusing and informative story about Trump’s values.
