I don’t want to undermine legitimate concerns about the Russians attempting to influence the American election, and there are serious concerns that need to be investigated, but as the weekend progressed and this morning advanced, it is clearer and clearer that the “Russians stole it” story has more to do with Democrats in denial than anything else.
Democrats, particularly urban progressives and reporters in skinny jeans and plaid and Vox kids, live in such an air tight bubble they don’t know anyone who voted for Trump. Consequently, the only way Trump could have possibly won was by stealing it.
First they fixated on fake news. But it is more and more obvious the Democrats have their own problems with fake news.
So now they’ve decided the Russians are to blame. Trump could not have possibly won the election except for Russian interference.
This is both an attempt to delegitimize Trump’s election in hopes of undercutting claims of mandate, while also helping Democrats avoid the obvious answer for their loss — their candidate was crap.
In the race between the turd and the turd sandwich, at least Trump was smeared between some bread. Clinton was just a steaming pile of electoral poop.
Her campaign refused to reach out to blue collar workers, like Bill Clinton knew they needed to do. They never ran from Obamacare like they should have. And she was plagued by serious trust issues stemming from conflicts of interest at the Clinton Foundation and the email scandal.
Clinton was a terrible candidate who had a terrible campaign run by a terrible campaign manager who had multiple, terrible appearances on television.
On top of that, the Democrats scared the hell out of all sorts of people, both white and non-white, who became convinced by the Democrats’ own rhetoric, that Christian schools could look tax exempt status, boys would be allowed in girls’ bathrooms, and killing kids and bathrooms were more important that jobs. When you convince voters you are an existential threat to their way of life, they tend to come out en masse again you.
Justice Alito: Well, in the Bob Jones case, the Court held that a college was not entitled to tax exempt status if it opposed interracial marriage or interracial dating. So would the same apply to a 10 university or a college if it opposed same -sex marriage?
General Verrilli: You know, I don’t think I can answer that question without knowing more specifics, but it’s certainly going to be an issue. I don’t deny that. I don’t deny that, Justice Alito. It is –it is going to be an issue.
The whole of the 2016 Democrat campaign was crap. Steaming piles of crap floating in the diarrhea of Democratic Party disconnect echoing through the exchange above. No amount of blaming fake news or Russians can offset it. Democrats may be grasping for any and all reasons under the sun to blame for Clinton’s loss, but they are patently refusing to deal with the most obvious and truest — she was a crap candidate peddling crap rhetoric and crap ideas that no one gave a crap about. But a hell of a lot of people gave a damn about their kid’s private school and favorite charity potentially losing tax exempt status because Democrats overreached on marriage, among a host of other issues.
End of story.
P.S. — For you bed wetting snowflakes I’ve made cry because “she won the popular vote!!!!!!!!”, yes, because of California. She lost the Electoral College because she’s a crap candidate. You people stacked the deck for crap and now you’re going to be eating Trump’s poop sandwich because of it. Enjoy!
